    There is narrative.
    There is structure.
    There is weight.
    But there’s no truth.
    So the interview is turned on me.

 
    Do I believe the video is proof?
    I knew when I started pursuing the story behind this that I would probably come out not knowing or perhaps being disappointed from what I learned. But my answer is in the note I gave at the start of this book. The second we try to capture something, the second we go looking for something very specific, it can no longer be what it is, it can only be what we want it to be or not what we want it to be. The truth is lost somewhere in our perception. The more we try to find it the more it rots.
    So, yes, this is a work of fiction as are all things.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
     
    Sara Green is an owner of cats and dogs that do not get along. She often reads them stories. Her dogs tend to be on the edge of the couch, but it may be because she rewards them with treats after every story. Sometimes, she feels like the ‘John Smith’ of the writing world, as it seems everyone already has her name, but a pseudonym just won’t do. Her cats tell her that.
